Ballard Babies began in December of 2010, being a nanny in the Seattle area since 2006 I noticed such a niche for well made & organic clothing for little ones. I strive to meet the needs of this niche.
Simple and sweet garments with a touch of flare. Most of the embellishments added are from local Ballard consignment/thrift shops. I choose very carefully only buying the best, and like to think of where these great crochet pieces come from. What are their stories? How many generation have they been passed through? And to recreate them into infant wear...the past will pass on to the future.
Ballard Babies ideas and missions: To make creative and organic clothing readily available to people who care! Each onesie is one of a kind, hand stitched, and all hand dyed. Embellishments only using reused finds from our local consignment/thrift shops.
Not a brand that is going to slap a screen print on or a funny slogan, but to showcase the beautiful babies we have here in Seattle!
