Krugs Ecologic.

Found this great brand Krugs Ecologic. Made by a mad scientist  turned into stay at home mama, whose little ones were too sensitive for the usual baby care products, she began making her own Vegan products.

Can't go wrong! Love the simple packaging and simple ingredients!

Needle+Thread

I've gone back and forth whether to make my pooch Scout the brand mascot, still undecided
on that one... But I did want to post how fashionable he is, Seattle's BEST
street style blog Needle+Thread "scouted" him out at the Ballard
 Market on Sunday.

Needle+Threads' Kam is our Seattle sartorialist, and often features great Ballard shots on her site.

Gotta love New Zealand

A 3-6 month hoodie! Brushed organic cotton! Come on!

From my favorite New Zealand organic brand Nature Baby

A Natural Remedy: Teething.

A natural remedy for teething little ones are Amber necklaces. Well known in Europe and several studies have shown a break when tangled Amber necklace when worn close to your babies warm skin, will release healing oils, which will then continue on into the bloodstream.

  • Reduces red and enflamed cheeks
  • Reduces Drooling!
  • Reputed to boost the immune system & accelerate wound healing
  • Clears light cases of eczema

....And of course never leave the baby unsupervised when they are draped in Ambers!

Paratii.

Tried out Ballard's wonderful new Brazilian Restaurant Paratii, next to Fieldhouse. Their interior was as if was eating dinner in a long lost beach bottle.  Overhead they had a rather large boat, and in the tiny corner a viking hat!

A Little Profile.

Iv been told to introduce myself so here I am!

Chelsea Peterson. 24.
Living in Ballard.
Degree in Fashion Merchandising.
Got through college nannying, and loved every minute.
My dream day: Going to Cafe Besalu for a Ham & Swiss, heading to the Sunday Ballard Market, stopping in at Cupcake Royale, sneaking my dogs on the beach at Golden Gardens, using what I picked up at the market to make a fresh meal paired with a large glass of wine. (I also really like to eat!) Having a big onesie dye session on the stove, sit in my "spot" on the couch sewing away to an old black and white movie. Yah I think that's it!

Ballard Babies ideas and missions: To make creative and organic clothing readily available to people who care! Each onesie is one of a kind, hand stitched, and all hand dyed. Currently awaiting a shipment of organic (free trade) onesies, all other material is reused finds from our local consignment/thrift shops.

Not a brand that is going to slap a screen print on or a funny slogan, but to showcase the beautiful babies we have here in Seattle!

Love Wrinkly Clothes.

New York Times article explains what cancer causing chemicals we're exposed to in our everyday lives.

A NOT so fun fact: Formaldehyde is what's added to clothes to keep them wrinkle-free.
Yep! that even means those wrinkle-free sheets we sleep on.
